Anna's House

At my best friend Anna's house while in Utah. We got together a lot. The kids had so much fun together. They did lots of fun things like play outside all day. In Arizona it is to hot. There is also sand or rocks everywhere instead of fun piles of dirt.
Her kids had just gotten turtle's and the kids loved them.

The poor turtle. Jade just kept harassing it. She loved to watch them.

Making dinner with Anna.

Lexi loved pushing Codan. And I loved that I didn't have to push him!

Playing in the dirt. Something mommy doesn't normally let them do. Notice how well trained they are by the way they are sitting.

However Codan doesn't know the rules yet. He just dug right in. White shirt and all.

More boys for Brody.

Thanks for letting us come hang out. It was fun having the slumber party and just being able to stay up all night and talk just like the good old days.

Whats Next?

So are lives have been busy and full of Dr's. My poor husband has the worst luck in the world. I have never met someone who has gone through so much at one time. He has started his own business with our good friends the Herbert's. Justin and Danny have been doing a great job to get work and be successful. If you want check it out it is Layin Ink! www.layinink.com However in the middle of all the stress that comes with running a business he has had the worst health of his life. Luckily for us Justin continues to work hard without complaining while Danny goes to Dr. after Dr.

So it stared with stomach pains that lasted months. They still don't know what is wrong. They think it might be Chrones disease but are not sure. And to make a long story short after seeing specialist one after another the last Dr. has now sent us to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. However we are fighting the insurance company to pay for things.

So then while we are dealing with all of this we go up to Utah for my sisters wedding. I had already been there with the kids. Danny was in California and a screen printing convention. So once Danny got to us in Utah he gets really sick. So I take him to the urgent care and we are told that he might have the swine flu. He got soo sick it scared me to death. He got a false negative on the test but the doctor said he would bet his house in Vegas that it was a false negative. That they just took the test to early. They wanted him to come back in but Danny said the test they do does not feel good. We never went back. So I'm leaving out a lot of details because I don't know how much Danny wants me sharing. But for journaling purposes I am writing it down. For days he was the sickest I have ever seen him. I can't imaging a child getting sick with the swine flu. Now I know first hand why people are dieing from it.

When it came time to go home we fill him full of pills. You know the good stuff and drive home all night. He had been complaining of neck pain and warm burning feelings in his arm. We make it home and the next morning he wakes up and says his mouth is numb feeling like he has been at the dentist. But he ignores it thinking it will go away. However it doesn't the next morning he woke up and his whole left side of his face is paralyzed like he had a stroke. So his dad takes him down to the ER. We find out it is not a stroke but what is called Belles Palsy. It could last from 3 weeks to 3 months. Poor guy. He can't even blink or shut his eye by himself. He has to use eye drops and wear an eye patch to bed so he doesn't get dry eye. His neck is in constant pain and his eye aches . Thank goodness for pain killer right!! So for now we just wait and pray.

Soon I will get around to blogging the wedding and the first day of school pictures. I keep waiting for things to calm down but they never do.

First Day Of School

They are so BIG! They were so excited to be able to go to school together this year! We were in Utah until the night before so it made for an exciting morning. Not to planned. But they still are sooo dang cute!

Karlee is now in 1st grade and Brody is in Kindergarten!!

Little Missy!

Gotta have the backpack shot of course.

My little man. I'll grown up!

So imagine this same grin on his face when he came home from school and told me he got a red light at school. He was so proud to be the first kid to get red. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the school does a light system for behavior. Red being the worst, yellow a warning, green good, and a blue light is the Best.

However Brody somehow managed to get a red. He said, "mom I'm supposed to tell you I got a red light and that is BAD!" I said, " why did you get a red light?" He said I don't know and don't care as he ran away and played. What do you do with them. That little stinker!

Standing in front of Mr. Hickman's classroom. Wasn't so sure that she was gonna like having a boy teacher. But she came home thrilled! He is a really good teacher! Was so happy to hear that she liked him.

Of course we had to get a picture with Brody on his first day.

We didn't get to go to meet the teacher night so I thought he might be nervous.

But as you can tell he was off in his own world and ready for mom to be done taking pictures. Jade and Brody hate getting their pictures taken for some reason. So they never smile.

So now I am down two kids two to go!
Loving school it is the best thing ever. When they got home they were so ready for bed it was great! Wonder how long that will last. Until they adjust and are back to running around all crazy!
